Poem No. 20 - A Lost Spirit

With you gone from my life, it’s total agony each day. It is hard to move on, yet quite easy to say. I loathe every single moment that was spent with you. If only I had words to describe what I’ve been through. I feel like I’m driving on an endless road of guilt. Didn’t expect it was all lie on which our love was built. I was under the impression it was what we both wanted. Everything changed without you; now your memories with what I am haunted. I’m a lost spirit, finding a way to be free. Let the wind blow me away, like leaves from a tree.

Poem No. 4 - A True Soldier

The nation’s pride, who’s ready to fight,
Protects his country, both day and night.
Whatever it takes, to make it right.

In the glacier of Siachen, he put his life at stake.
Living under the deadliest weather, isn’t a piece of cake.

When he goes to war, two things that he planned
Either live to fight back, or die protecting his land.

A soldier he is, most courageous and brave.
Given the title of Sitara-e-Jurat, for the lives he save.
Or awarded with Nishan-e-Haider, placed on his grave.

An army jeep arrives, at the martyr’s place.
His mother didn’t know, what she was about to face.

Her heart burst into tears, for a minute she froze.
An officer was standing in front of her, carry her son’s clothes.
